I have seen many articles listing scriptures for Christian business owners, but they rarely have practical wisdom to go with them. Yes, the Scriptures can speak for themselves, but when we are struggling, the Bible verses seem to be ignored by our stressed minds.
I want to share with you seven verses from the Bible with seven thoughts and seven ideas. I know that when I’m going through a difficult time, it helps me ‘listen’ to someone who understands what I’m going through. It brings the Bible to life when someone shares it from the perspective of a Christian businessman.
Worries are like butterflies, they need to be released.
It’s easy to worry. There are so many things to think about that it can be overwhelming. Cheer up … and mind. When we look at the way we try to handle our problems, we often leave God out of the solution. He cares about all the things you go through and is there to help when we ask. We must learn to turn our concerns over to God so that He can work wonderful things for us.
Philippians 4: 6-7 “Do not grieve over anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, may your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will guard your hearts and your hearts. minds. in Christ Jesus. “
Humility allows us to bring others into our struggles.
Sometimes when we get caught up in tough times, we try to take care of everything ourselves. We must learn to delegate and let others help us. We must bring others to pray for us and with us. We are leaders in our business, but more than that, we are part of a community of faith. God wants us to help each other with our anxieties and he may have placed people in your life to do just that. We must remember that God cares about us.
1 Peter 5: 6-7 “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God so that in due time he may exalt you, casting all your cares on him, because he cares for you.”
Our reaction to our struggles defines our success.
We don’t like going through tough times, but when we do, our reaction to those tough times can make or break us. When we redefine our struggles in light of what God is doing and has done in our lives, we find that the power of God works even in difficult times.
James 1: 2-4 “My brethren, consider yourselves pure joy when faced with trials of many kinds, for you know that the trial of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you are mature and complete, not lacking in something “.
Perspectives help us define our problems.
When we go through tough times, we get caught thinking about all the bad things that could happen. An elderly lady in my church tells me, “Stop sowing worries.” If you look at your problems in light of all the things that others are going through, your problems may seem so much minor. All over the world, people are starving, beheaded for their faith, and their homes are being destroyed by bombs. How does your problem look compared to those?
Psalm 46: 1-3 “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in distress. Therefore we will not fear, though the land gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains tremble and with their waves “.
We can praise God even in difficult times.
David went through horrible trials. His boss tried to kill him. His best friends betrayed him. His children killed each other. Yet through all of these things, he always took the time to worship. He looked at God in the good and the bad. There are so many Psalms that they begin by talking about how bad things are only to end by refocusing their attention on praising God for all that he has.
Psalm 37: 3-6 “Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell on the earth and enjoy safe pastures. Delight yourself in the Lord and he will grant you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: he will make your justice shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun. “
Action trumps worry almost always.
Worrying is what happens when we don’t act. Christian business owners are people of action. Instead of worrying about the things you can’t change, take action on the things you can. Action will lead to better results than thinking and worrying about your struggles. Take the time to write down your problems, get them out of your head, and plan a strategy for taking care of the business.
Matthew 6: 25-27 “That is why I tell you: do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more important than food, and the body more important than Mira? the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who among you, worrying, can add an hour to his life? “
You have a purpose
If there’s one thing you’ll see over and over on this web page, it’s the fact that it serves a purpose. You are Christian. You were created to be an entrepreneur. God put a desire to help others in your life and you are a Christian entrepreneur who can make a difference in the world. Go and do what God has called you to do.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, those who have been called according to his purpose.”
